ACTION ITEM: Agenda approved.

ACTION ITEM: Minutes of last meeting reviewed, approved.

ACTION ITEM: Information Management Element of Draft Strategic Plan Template was edited in real time at the meeting.  Modifications have been incorporated into the  Strategic Plan Draft , Section III Program Elements/Section B Information Management

ACTION ITEM: A Screening Procedure for prioritization of invasive plant species and treatment sites was further developed, following up on the procedure initiated in the Education workgroup.  The Screening Procedure has been incorporated into the  Strategic Plan Draft , Section II Program Description/Prioritization.  The screening procedure will be proposed to the Planning Committee at their next meeting.

ACTION ITEM: The need for 3 different protocols was determined. The simplest protocol would be for roadside use by volunteers. A site-oriented protocol for volunteers would be used to collect more localized information. Finally, a protocol for a professional-level survey is needed. Responsibility for development and testing of these protocols was assigned as follows:

Task (Tara): develop blank form for windshield survey, send out request for information on which species are appropriate for this type of survey and what season they are best observed in.

Task (Matt): develop form for site-oriented protocal for volunteers.

Task (Lynn, Tara): test windshield survey form for use by a team of two.

ACTION ITEM: Next Information Management Workgroup Meeting set for Thursday February 23, 2006, 10AM-12noon at the Jackson State Forest Office in Fort Bragg.  Agenda items for next meeting include review of the Strategic Plan Draft and Survey Protocols.
