- Accomplishments
- Anderson Valley public meeting held February 22, 2006, with attendance of 5 locals;
- MCWMA website updated to include an About Us page, with a list of partners, chat room and online newsletters, an Invasive Plant Management page, with news, pages for each of our workgroups, and management resources including literature abstracts (donated), and updates to the Spanish-language
version of the website (donated). Our website is now listed with Google.
- Outreach to several individuals and organizations initiated through mailings of brochures and the MOA, in conjunction with
the public meetings in Anderson Valley and Fort Bragg. Results, so far, of this outreach are one new partner (Anderson Valley Nursery) and two prospective partners or associates (Galbreath Preserve, Shoreline Cottages).
- Education and Outreach Workgroup meeting held February 14,
2006 ;
- Final Draft of Education Element of Strategic Plan completed ;
- Table for matching target audience and venue, and prioritization of educational materials in progress.
- Next Education and Outreach Workgroup meeting to be determined.
- Plans
- Letters of Invitation to join MCWMA will be mailed to stakeholders
in the Caspar, Mendocino and Gualala regions.
The Memorandum of Agreement and contact information for the local Point-of-Contact
will be included in the mailing.
- All MCWMA meetings will be announced in the coastal
newspapers, on radio and on the website.
- Flyers will be posted on community bulletin boards for public
meetings only.
- Fort Bragg public meeting to be held on
Wednesday, March 15, 6:30-8:30 PM at the College of the Redwoods.
- MCWMA materials will be available at the Environmental Dinner at Russian Gulch on March 20.
- An MCWMA table will be out at the Anderson Valley Wildflower Show, April 29, 30, 2006.
- MCWMA does not have plans for an Earth Day event this year.

- Photos and locations of local examples of the species on the
roadside survey form.
- Photo Gallery on website with list of photos needed.
- Names of stakeholders for mailing list of letter of

- Online forms for entering weed distribution and treatment
information.
