Survey Roadside Weeds

Please help us map invasive weeds within the IMCWMA by participating in the IMCWMA Roadside Weed Survey. Suggested steps:

• Download and print copies of the Roadside Survey Form : click for the Winter, Spring or Summer version as appropriate. This form includes survey instructions. A PDF reader is required to view and print this form. Click HERE for more information.
• Grab a partner and survey a road of your choice!
• Fill out your form according to the instructions, and when you are done mail it to

• Start a Weed Prevention Area program in your neighborhood

• Join an existing Roadside Weed Management program
• Start your own Adopt-A-Highway program for vegetation management in Caltrans right-of-ways.
• Contact your County Transportation Department to start an Adopt-A-Road program for weed management on County roadsides.

    No encroachment permit is required. Pile weeds along roadsides at a wider spot. Call for pickup of debris. Exercise good judgement as to safety of weed workers- if visibility is limited, call for signs.
