Welcome to imcwma.org. The IMCWMA, one of California's newest Weed Management Areas, was formed in 2006. We look forward to working with all the residents of Inland Mendocino County to manage the invasive weeds that cause harm to the economic and environmental resources of our lands and waters.

WMA Funding for 2009

The Mendocino Coast and Inland Mendocino Cooperative Weed Management Areas (WMA) will be receiving a portion of the state's general fund allocation for weed management in calendar year 2009.

montage.jpg The IMCWMA introduces a new opportunity to assist the community to manage invasive weeds in Inland Mendocino County. The more we understand what weeds we have in our area and where they are, the better we can plan how to control them.  On this site you can [identify weeds], see what weed sites have already been reported on the [Invasive Weed Distribution map], and report weeds on an interactive form and map. Red Sesbania Eradication Project 

The Mendocino County Department of Agriculture and the IMCWMA have received funding from the State of California to eradicate red sesbania (Sesbania punicea) in Mendocino County.
