This plant could be introduced as a contaminant in seed or forage.


Echium plantagineum is not yet known in Mendocino County. It has been observed in Oregon and Sonoma County, and could potentially establish here if it were introduced. It is a weed of disturbed places, including roadsides and degraded pastures.
